Marquette County Roots
Dawn grew up in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, spending her childhood between the iron-range towns of Ishpeming and Negaunee. She knows the rhythm of life here: ice-out on Teal Lake in spring, the brilliant fall colors along County Road 550, and the kind of winter snowfall that keeps Marquette Mountain running well into April. This isn't a territory she covers from a distance. She lives, works, and raises her family right here.
That lifelong connection to the area means Dawn understands things that don't show up in listing data. She knows which Chocolay Township streets flood during spring thaw, where cell service drops off past Big Bay, and which Negaunee neighborhoods sit on old mine shafts. When clients ask about commute times to NMU, the best sledding hills for kids, or which restaurants stay open through mud season, she has real answers, not search-engine guesses.
Outside of real estate, Dawn stays active in the community. She volunteers at local events including Marquette's International Food Festival, the Blueberry Festival on the shores of Lake Superior, and Art on the Rocks at Ellwood Mattson Lower Harbor Park.
